Summer Camp Sneak Peek

Every summer is something new at Camp Micah.  But the goals are the same: create a wonderfilled space for big dreamers and young leaders to revel in their talents, learn new things, meet kids just like them, and have a summer like no other.

Who can  join?

Camp Micah is for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years old.

What can I sign up for?

Shirlee Green Preschool is a Design Thinking school.  We bring that big thinking approach into our summer camp experience, too.  Campers may join us for four-week sessions or the entire summer.  We recommend at least one full session.  Each session begins with ideating, concept mapping, and leads to the design process of each camper's inventions!

What schedules are available?

Inventing takes time.  To maximize each camper's experience, we offer several schedules to choose from:

  • 3-days a week or 5-days a week

  • Half-day: campers leave at noon

  • Full-day: campers leave at 4pm

We are open from 7:30am-6pm.  Before and Aftercare has limited availability and is open on a first-come-first-served basis until full.

Who are the campers?

Campers in Camp Micah come from all over the region.  Many are preschoolers from Shirlee Green Preschool.  New students often begin in the summer and continue for the next school year.  Others join us just for the summer as they look for new creative outlets and leadership-building opportunities.

Who are the camp staffers?

We take summer camp-ing seriously.  The remarkable teachers of SGP join us each summer.  They are degreed and certified educators dedicated to the guidance and education of young children: summer, fall, winter and spring.

What is The Big Reveal?

The very last week of Camp Micah, the first week of August, the young inventors excitedly showcase their creations to family and friends.  The Big Reveal is for parents, guardians, and grandparents, campers and teachers to revel in the inventiveness of children and show each young camper that their minds are remarkable things worth celebrating.
